What the Jobs and Skills Summit Needs to Know

We respectfully submit via LinkedIn our 6-point recommendation to the Jobs and Skills Summit.

Attention: PM Anthony Albanese, Ministers Ed Husic MP, Clare O'Neil, Tony Burke, Brendan O'Connor

We have pleasure in offering the following contribution to the skills question.

Don’t just build new skills - protect the existing ones. Cyber burnout costs the nation.

Specifically, we must:

1. Equip new entrants with mental resilience skills on the way in before they get to burnout.  

2. Nurture, protect and restore existing teams.

3. Educate the C-Suite on the Why - see flow chart.

4. Understand that if our CISOs and their teams are burning out, we are all at risk.

5. Examine and address cultural and systemic issues that light the fuse.

6. Resource scalable, evidence based interventions that work and can be immediately implemented.
